About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Care Home Manager to lead a warm, person‑centred residential home in Neath. You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with CIW standards, and create an environment where residents feel safe, respected, and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the care home’s daily operations
  • Ensure full compliance with CIW regulations and internal quality standards
  • Provide strong leadership to care staff, including supervision and performance management
  • Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
  • Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resource allocation
  • Drive continuous improvement and uphold a culture of dignity, respect, and independence
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of care teams

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Care Home Manager or Deputy Manager
  • Strong understanding of CIW regulations and quality frameworks
  • NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Compassionate, resident‑focused approach
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check
